Amicii connects people seeking connection with a community’s most thoughtful venues. Small group dining experiences (around 6-8 people) where strangers meet over great food in beautiful settings.
You browse experiences, choose what appeals to you, show up as yourself, and see what unfolds. You might find someone you click with on your first try. Or you might attend a few experiences first. Both are completely normal.

No. You can browse all available experiences without creating an account. You'll only need to register when you're ready to reserve a spot.

Currently, Amicii only operates in Sydney. We're starting local to perfect the model before expanding to Melbourne, Brisbane, and other cities.
If you're visiting Sydney, you're welcome to join experiences.

We're not a dating platform. While some people may develop romantic connections, that's not our purpose. We're about building friendships and expanding social circles.
Most of our members are partnered or simply not looking for dating. The group format prevents the awkward "is this a date?" dynamic.

Yes. The majority of the venues we partner with are licensed premises and will be serving alcohol at the Amicii experiences.
This means we have a strict 18+ only membership.
Experiences

Groups form organically based on who chooses that particular experience. You browse and choose what appeals to you - the venue, the cuisine, the timing. When you book, you join whoever else has booked that same experience.
Our algorithm matches experiences to your preferences, but you choose which ones to attend.

Your age range preferences determines the type of groups that you will connect with.
We encourage you to add as broad a range as you are comfortable with to provide you with more variety and interesting conversations.
You can even select All Ages!

That's completely okay and happens sometimes. There's no pressure to exchange numbers or stay in touch. If you don't click, you enjoyed a nice meal at a great venue.
Amicii is here to facilitate the space for connection and it may take a few times before you meet people you want to reconnect with - which is perfectly normal.

Absolutely! We understand that everyone is different and that dining with a group of strangers might be a little confronting for some, whereas for others they thrive in this situation.
You’ll find it easier each time though, and before you know it, you’ll just be excited to see who’s new at the table!
And Amicii is here to help couples meet new people and enjoy interesting conversations while they explore great venues.

Typically 2-3 hours, but it varies by experience type. The listing shows expected duration.
You're welcome to stay longer if the venue isn't needed for another service. Many groups end up lingering or moving to a nearby bar together.

If you have any dietary requirements, make sure you update this in your Amicii profile.
Each time you register for an experience, we share your requirements with the venue so they can prepare, or let you know if they’re unable to accommodate so you can cancel without penalty.
For venues

Visit our Partner With Us page and click "Apply to Partner." You'll fill out a brief application covering basic venue information.
We will review applications within 5 working days and schedule a call to find out more about your venue and whether we can help you start building more community at your place.

Founding partner venues that join during our launch period will receive 12 months free access, including all platform updates, with no lock in contract.
After 12 months, and for venues that join after the launch period, we'll introduce a small monthly platform fee (pricing TBD and communicated in advance). Still zero commission on bookings. Still no lock-in contracts.

No. Zero commission. Ever.
You set the price for your experience. Customers pay that price plus a small booking fee (which goes to Amicii to support the platform). You receive 100% of the price you set.

Yes. No lock-in contracts, no penalty for canceling. If the partnership isn't working for your business, simply cancel.

You do. You upload your own photos, write your venue description, and create your experience listings. You control how you're presented.
We offer a ‘done for you’ service for our founding partners, along with the provision of marketing content to help you promote your experiences.
And we have some exciting AI features on the roadmap that will do the heavy lifting for you!

During pilot and launch, this varies based on how many experiences you create, your pricing, location, and other factors. We're transparent that we're early-stage and building together.
The February 2026 launch event is designed to create significant initial volume and help create broader awareness with the community.

Safety is built into our model:
All members create profiles through our platform
Experiences happen in established venues with staff present
Small group format (around 6-8 people) provides natural accountability
Clear Community Guidelines with zero tolerance for harassment
Incident reporting available if anything feels wrong

Report it immediately via the platform, email friends@amicii.io, or by speaking to venue staff who will assist you with any immediate safety needs.
We investigate every report within 24 hours. Serious violations result in immediate removal from the platform.

Our Community Guidelines require:
Respect for all members and venue staff regardless of age, background, or identity
Zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination
No aggressive romantic advances
No commercial solicitation
Authentic presence (minimal phone use, genuine engagement)
Violations result in removal.

Account & Booking

More than 48 hours before: Full refund minus small processing fee
Within 48 hours: No refund (venue has already prepared)
Emergency situations: Evaluated case-by-case
The 48-hour policy protects venues from last-minute cancellations.

Venues set their own pricing. Experiences can range from $25-120 per person depending on cuisine, courses, beverages, and venue positioning.
The listing always shows the total price and inclusions clearly before you book.

6% of the experience price. This supports the platform and enables us to keep building the community and improve the product features.
Example: $50 experience = $3 booking fee. Total: $53.
The booking fee is clearly shown before you confirm your reservation.

Immediately when you book. All experiences are pre-paid to guarantee ensure that our venue partner expenses are covered.

Yes. We use industry-standard secure payment processing via Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Yes. You receive an email receipt immediately after booking, and you can download receipts from your account dashboard anytime.

Contact the venue directly (contact information is in your confirmation email). The group will usually wait 10-15 minutes, but beyond that, the venue needs to start service.
If you're more than 30 minutes late without notice, you may miss significant portions of the experience with no refund.

You will receive a full refund including booking fee, processed within 24-48 hours. You'll also receive priority access to rebook a similar experience if desired.
This is very rare, but it does occasionally happen due to emergencies or unexpected closures.

Yes, anytime. Log into your account and click "Edit Profile" to update your bio, interests, photo, contact preferences, email, or password.

No, but we strongly encourage you to include one. Photos help other attendees recognise you when arriving at the venue and create a sense of connection before you get there.

Yes. We never sell your data. Your name, location and interests are visible to other attendees after booking. Your email is never shared with attendees.
We share your booking and contact details with the venue partner so they know who will be attending and they can contact you if necessary.
