OUR COMMITMENT

Amicii is designed exclusively for adults (18+) to connect over shared dining experiences. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and have built our platform with safety as a foundational principle.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

Minimum Age: 18 Years

  • All users must be 18 years or older to create an account

  • Users provide their date of birth during registration

  • Accounts suspected of age misrepresentation are immediately suspended pending verification

  • We comply with all Australian laws regarding age verification and online safety

SAFETY BY DESIGN

Our platform architecture prioritises user safety:

NO PRIVATE MESSAGING

  • Amicii does not include private messaging capabilities

  • Users cannot send direct messages to other users

  • This deliberate design choice eliminates a primary vector for exploitation

LIMITED PROFILE INFORMATION

  • Profiles do not allow free-form text content

  • Users select from predefined preferences only (food style, venue preferences, age range, interests)

  • Profile photos are the only user-generated visual content

  • Profiles are only visible to users who have registered for the same dining experience

PUBLIC VENUE MEETINGS

  • All experiences take place at verified commercial venues

  • Professional hospitality staff are present at every event

  • No private or residential meeting locations

CONTENT MODERATION

PROFILE REVIEW

  • All profile photos are subject to review

  • Sexually explicit, suggestive, or inappropriate images are prohibited

  • Profiles displaying concerning content are removed immediately

MODERATION PROCESS

  • Currently operated by Amicii's founder with direct oversight of all content

  • As we scale, we will implement automated screening tools and expand our moderation team

  • We maintain the right to remove any content or suspend any account at our discretion

REPORTING MECHANISMS

HOW TO REPORT CONCERNS

If you encounter any content or behavior that raises child safety concerns:

  • User profile name (if visible)

  • Event details (if applicable)

  • Description of the concern

  • Screenshots (if safe and appropriate to capture)

OUR RESPONSE PROCESS

  • All CSAE reports are treated as highest priority

  • Reports reviewed within 24 hours (typically much faster)

  • Immediate account suspension for credible CSAE concerns

  • Full investigation conducted before any account reinstatement

COOPERATION WITH AUTHORIES

Amicii cooperates fully with law enforcement and regulatory authorities:

  • We comply with all Australian legal requirements for reporting CSAE material

  • We report suspected child exploitation to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) and relevant authorities

  • We preserve evidence and user data in accordance with legal obligations

  • We respond promptly to lawful requests from law enforcement

PROHIBITED CONTENT AND CONDUCT

The following are strictly prohibited on Amicii:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form

  • Grooming or inappropriate contact with minors

  • Sharing, promoting, or glorifying child exploitation

  • Attempting to use the platform to contact or arrange meetings with minors

  • Misrepresenting age to gain access to the platform

  • Any sexualized content involving or appearing to involve minors

CONSEQUENCES

  • Immediate account termination

  • Reporting to appropriate authorities

  • Cooperation with law enforcement investigations

  • Permanent ban from the platform

USER SAFETY EDUCATION

We encourage all users to:

PROTECT YOURSELF

  • Never share sensitive personal information in your profile

  • Meet in public venues (all Amicii experiences are public by design)

  • Trust your instincts—if something feels wrong, leave and report it

  • Review the profiles of fellow attendees before events

LOOK OUT FOR OTHERS

  • Report any suspicious behavior or content immediately

  • If you witness concerning behavior at an event, inform venue staff and contact us

TECHNOLOGY AND TOOLS

As Amicii grows, we are committed to implementing industry-standard safety measures:

  • Automated content screening for profile images

  • PhotoDNA or similar hash-matching technology to detect known CSAM

  • Machine learning tools to identify suspicious patterns

  • Enhanced age verification measures

  • Expanded moderation team and processes

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Child safety is not a one-time compliance exercise—it's an ongoing commitment:

  • We regularly review and update our safety policies

  • We stay informed about emerging threats and best practices

  • We welcome feedback from our community about safety concerns
